How my journey began
My introduction into yoga was when I was quite young, practicing behind my mum as she did her basic Hatha practice. As I grew up there were a few years where I did no yoga at all, but when I was stressed and had sore neck, stiff shoulders, I would always find my way back to my yoga asana practice. For me yoga was a way to keep my body supple and my mind calm. My Practice was mostly Hatha or Hatha flow, with a little pranayama and meditation when I had time. It wasn’t until I moved to India in 2017. There I began to really understand and practice the other limbs of yoga. Broadening my horizons in terms of the style of my of practice, trying Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Shivanada. Starting to really understand the other limbs of yoga.
As soon as we moved to India I knew I wanted to do my teacher training and turn what had always helped me, into something I could help others with. I did my 200 Hour Multistyle teacher training with Trimurti Yoga. This amazing course did two things for me. One It made me 100% sure this is what I wanted to do. Two it also showed me that “Yoga” is a vast subject which I knew hardly anything about. Since then I have been continuing to learn and grow doing my 100 hours in Prenatal and my 100 Hours in Yin, both at The Yoga Studio in Delhi, learning with Seema Shondi and Savira Gupta respectively. I have done short courses in Meditation, Yoga Nidra and Human anatomy. I believe yoga is a journey and I intend to keep learning and growing so I can be the best teacher I can be. I hope to see you in class or online. If you want to know more please send me a message or Subscribe to get access to my online classes.

I have been doing online classes with Kate for the last 6 months, and she’s a brilliant teacher! Very patient and attentive, she really takes time to explain each move and the benefits. I have rheumatoid arthritis and was initially a bit skeptical about starting yoga, but it’s been the best exercise I’ve ever done, to the point where I’ve greatly improved my joint flexibility, built a lot of muscles I never knew I had (!), and have been pretty much pain free ever since practicing yoga. To be able to completely switch off and focus on yourself and your breathing has really helped my sleep too! There has been a great variety of classes, focusing of different areas of the body, and Kate’s someone who takes the time to ask how you’re doing and adapt some of the poses to suit each student. Thank you, Kate, for the wonderful classes! Highly recommended!”

“
I‘ve wanted to take up yoga for quite some time, thinking it would be very good for my stiff and tense shoulders and back. Didn’t really manage to go to classes at the gym though (work, traffic etc. - I‘m good at finding excuses). So when I saw Kate‘s Facebook post in March while WFH on reduced hours I thought to give it a try. And am I glad I did!! Kate‘s down-to-Earth style and detailed explanations (yes, even via Zoom) are perfect for me. I joined her classes at least three times a week and although that got less as my working time increased it’s been and is hugely beneficial to me. And enjoyable! Yes, even though most of the poses are still difficult for me, Kate’s lovely way and humour keep me going. The recorded sessions make it possible for me to do her classes (which are never boring or repetitive BTW) even when I can’t attend the live ones due to working hours. Thank you so much Kate for getting me there!”
